Moonstone is well-known because of its optical phenomenon called Adularescence (the milky, bluish luster from inside).
Moonstones are normally colourless, milky white or grey, but sometimes it is possible to find moonstones in other colours like orange, pink, green, etc.
In order to have better view of adularescence, moonstone is commonly made as cabochon.
The price mainly depends on its strength of adularescence, but also the higher clarity it is, the more expensive it is.
